Mana

The foundation of Magic is Mana, which is produced by mixing Orgone and Aether. Aether is the “substance” of the soul, whilst Orgone is generated by the hayyoth as «radiation” due to the direct experiencing of negative emotions, sensations, thoughts, instincts, desires, attitudes/ideologies and derangements, and can be harvested (if they focus their wills and experience/ cause/ perceive/ empathize with negativity) and mixed by mages by letting it through the kav.

To absorb too much Orgone is to overload a mage’s systems and unleash uncontrolled spells that target what he/she values the most, and all of them can perceive it as “gray waves”, along with Mana (which is always “perceptible” as red) and its traces/ resonance through Da’as Elyon (a synesthetic “sixth sense” that must be consciously activated, natural senses are designated as Da’as Tachton). All mages can store Orgone in physical/ psychical/ magical vessels and absorb, manipulate, resist and dispel Mana. Every time a hayyoth dies, all of the negativity it has experienced
during its life radiates outwards as Orgone, in a process known as Aponia;which makes secular sacrifices an enticing (but gravely heretical) method of producing Mana.
